Winchester City Flyers will look to take last weekend’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup win into the encounter with AFC Portchester.
The Flyers haven’t had the best of starts with back-to-back 2-1 defeats on the road but they were dominant in last Sunday’s fixture.
A 14-0 win against Tier 7 Dorchester Town saw Winchester soar into the Third Qualifying Round where a trip to Tier 6 side Bitton AFC awaits them.
Portchester on the other hand have been enjoying life in the Premier Division following their promotion last season.
The newcomers were worthy 3-0 winners over Wycombe Wanderers, striker Millie Bradbury announced herself with a brace while Lena Stroem also got on the scoresheet.
Things were different in their next game as they hosted title-favourites Ascot United who narrowly missed out on promotion last term.
Portchy lost 5-1 to United but bounced straight back to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Badshot Lea.
The side added a couple of notable players to their squad in the summer including former Portsmouth and AFC Bournemouth captain Gemma Hillier and former Eastleigh and Moneyfields midfielder Lucy Nightingale.
Portchester also made it through to the next round of the FA Cup with a 13-0 win over QK Southampton there were hat-tricks for Bradbury, captain Eilidh Currie and Hillier.
A win for Winchester could lift them up the table as high as seventh depending on the other results in the league while Portchy will be looking to stay in contact with the teams at the top.
