Winchester City Flyers head into the next round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on an unbeaten three-game run following their win last weekend.

Their form has picked up following the huge win over Dorchester Town in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Emma Pearmine’s side then returned to league action and earned four points from a possible six thanks to a draw and a win over AFC Portchester and Sholing respectively.

Sunday’s opponents Bitton AFC are in great form and have yet to lose in all competitions.

Gloucestershire-based side entered the FA Cup in the First Qualifying Round and were 1-0 winners over their league rivals Bath City thanks to a goal from Ruby Nolan.

Things were less straightforward in the next round, as they drew 3-3 away to Hereford Peagaus; Emma Plant, Mary Brittain, and Abbie Marshall were on target that day.

The game headed straight to penalties with Bitton coming out on top winning 5-3 to line up a home game against Winchester City and a chance for them to reach the First Round of the Women’s FA Cup.

Outside of the cup Bitton also sit top of the South West Region League Division One North with four wins from a possible five.

They’ve scored 10 goals in their last two fixtures beating Royal Wootton Bassett Town 5-2 and then St Valliers 5-0.

They’ve kept four clean sheets this season and conceded five goals which have come in two games proving that they are likely to be defensively sound when Winchester come to town.

Pearmine will again be looking to take as strong a side as she can with the injuries picked up in the Portchester game for Shayne Prasad, Emily McDonough and Charlotte Warhurst leaving them on the sidelines for the near future.

If a winner hasn’t been found at the end of 90 minutes the game will head straight to penalties to decide who makes it through to the First Round Proper and a potential draw against a FA Women’s National League Premier Division side.

The winner of Sunday’s match will earn £4,000 plus a place in the draw while the losing club will receive £1,000.
