Winchester City Flyers recorded a huge 8-0 win over Reading in the Southern Region Premier Division on Sunday.
The Flyers found themselves 3-0 up at half-time thanks to a Libby Wilkinson brace and a goal for Vinnie Nkomo.
Things got worse for the Royals as the Winchester dominance continued in the second-half including a brace for Annie Northwood and solitary goals for Eliza Eaton, Charlene Rooney and Kayleigh Tonks.
Emma Pearmine's side came into the game with six wins on the bounce in all competitions including a 4-1 win over Reading in the first competitive meeting between the teams.
It was a strong start for the Flyers with Wilkinson going close from a freekick while Nkomo couldn't get on the end of a cross within the first few minutes.
Cherry Presiner was called into action as she claimed a cross from Presiner and then an Emma Whitlock shot.
Both teams were playing with real intensity and aggression and none more so for the Royals than Zuzanna Gajzler who had the first chance for the visitors but couldn't keep her shot on target.
The Flyers had to be patient to get their reward for their dominance and in the 29th minute the deadlock was broken.
Winchester got a throw in that Nkomo took quickly putting Wilkinson through on goal who took a touch to set on her right foot for a lovely finish for the opener.
They had waited nearly half an hour for a goal and then within seconds of the restart, the lead was doubled.
Aggression was the name of the game and a combination of Kayleigh Tonks and Nkomo pressed the Royals back to the goalkeeper.
Tonks won the ball before slipping Nkomo through to drive into the box where she fired the ball in off the post to the delight of the home support.
Just minutes later Ellie Parker played the ball to Sharna Capel-Watson who stepped out of defence to send the ball down the line for the pace of Eaton.
The teenager raced into the Reading box where she squared the ball for the arrival of Wilkinson to side foot the ball in for the third of the afternoon and her fifth against the Royals this season.
Reading looked to pull a goal back before the break when Elouath managed to block Parker's dropkick but the keeper did enough to force Gajzler to put the ball wide.
Right on the stroke of half-time Wilkinson forced Presiner into a fine save that denied the attacking midfielder a second hat-trick of the season.
The Flyers came flying out the blocks with only one thing on their mind, more goals.
Tonks took that and ran with it, literally, from a Hannah Chalk throw to break into the box and her low cross was met by the run of Eaton at the back post with just three minutes into the second-half.
Captain Rooney made it five just minutes later from the edge of the box as she lofted the ball over a congested penalty area.
Winchester continued to threaten as Pearmine rang the changes to the team.
The dominance was consistent throughout the game and the defence was solid to any form of Reading attack.
Tonks soon found herself on the score sheet thanks to another successful City press and a heavy touch from the Reading defender allowed the futsal player to burst into the box and net the sixth.
In fairness to the visitors,, they never stopped, as their manager tried to change things up to see what impact they could have on the game.
Reading substitute Sumayah Zayadi saw a shot go wide while Lydia Moulding was called into action with some huge blocks.
In the 82nd minute a seventh goal arrived starting from a block by Moulding, Prasad then drove forward before putting Northwood through on goal for a lovely finish.
Two minutes later and a clearance by Moulding found Nkomo who was able to slip Northwood through to get her second and her 20th goal of the season in all competitions.
The Flyers had to be alert for the last few minutes of the game to protect a rare and important clean sheet before the final whistle was blown.
A late Sholing comeback meant that the Flyers remained seventh in the league just a point behind them with three games in hand.
